digital services act
EU DSA compliance information (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065)
about this page
the Digital Services Act (DSA) requires online service providers to be transparent about their content moderation practices and provide certain information to users in the European Union.
service classification
nudge is an event discovery application. we are classified as a provider of an "intermediary service" under the DSA, specifically as a hosting service provider.
nudge does not qualify as a "very large online platform" (VLOP) as defined by the DSA, as we do not have 45+ million monthly active users in the EU.
point of contact
for DSA-related matters, you can contact us at:
- email: dsa@livealittle.app
- postal address: see impressum
we aim to respond to DSA-related inquiries within 14 days.
content on nudge
nudge displays two types of content:
event listings
events and discovery suggestions are aggregated from third-party sources (for example Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, PredictHQ, and OpenStreetMap/Overpass-derived datasets). we do not create this source content. original organizers and providers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their information.
user-generated content
nudge+ users can create "personal moments" — private events shared with their inner circle. this content is:
- visible only to invited users
- not publicly searchable
- subject to our terms of service
illegal content reporting
if you believe any content on nudge is illegal under EU or member state law, you can report it to us:
- email: report@livealittle.app
your report should include:
- clear identification of the content (event name, link, screenshot)
- explanation of why you believe it's illegal
- your contact information
we will review reports and take action within 7 days. you will receive a confirmation of receipt and notification of our decision.
content moderation
nudge applies limited content moderation as most content comes from established third-party platforms. for user-generated personal moments, we:
- rely on user reports for enforcement
- prohibit illegal content, harassment, and spam
- remove content that violates our terms of service
we do not use automated content moderation systems for user-generated content.
appeals
if we restrict or remove your content, you will be notified with the reasons for our decision. you can appeal by:
- emailing appeals@livealittle.app within 14 days
- explaining why you believe the decision was incorrect
appeals are reviewed by a different team member than the original decision-maker. we aim to resolve appeals within 14 days.
out-of-court dispute resolution
if you're unsatisfied with our appeal decision, you may seek out-of-court dispute resolution through a certified body under Article 21 of the DSA. a list of certified bodies will be available on the European Commission's website.
transparency reporting
as required by the DSA, we publish annual transparency reports on:
- number of content moderation actions
- reports received from users
- reports received from authorities
- appeals and their outcomes
our first report will be published in 2025, covering the period from service launch.
average monthly active users (EU)
as required by Article 24(2) of the DSA, we publish our average monthly active users in the EU:
[To be updated every 6 months]
current period: January 2025
recommender systems & AI
nudge uses algorithmic systems and artificial intelligence to recommend events and generate personalized notifications. these recommendations are based on:
- your location (to show nearby events)
- your saved events and preferences
- weather and time-of-day relevance
- event popularity and availability
on-device AI: we use Apple's Foundation Models to generate personalized notification messages. this processing happens entirely on your device — no personal data is sent to external AI services.
we do not profile users for advertising purposes or use personal data beyond what's necessary for event discovery.
